Even within breeds there's enormous variety in the way a dog acts and reacts to the world around him. Those differences can be due to how much he was handled as a youngster, how well he was trained after bringing him home, and of course the genetic luck of the draw. In the end, your dog's preferences and personality are as individual as you are--and if you can accept that you're bound to enjoy each other.

The Xoloitzcuintli dog breed, sometimes called the Mexican Hairless, may well have descended from the first dogs to set paw on the North American continent. In their native Mexico and Central America, they were popular “doctors,” the heat given off by their body being comforting to people with arthritis and other ailments; people still like to cuddle with them today.
BarkPost was pretty excited when we learned about Fetch!, a new Microsoft-made app for iPhones that identifies your dog’s breed when you take their picture. We took a spin with our pawffice dogs to play Fetch! and see if we could learn a thing or two about our favorite pups. And boy did we.
All in all we were pretty darn impressed. Sometimes, Fetch! absolutely nailed it, but other times, well…
